Join bestselling cartoonist and super-experienced comic art tutor James Parsons on Zoom for a brand new illustration course! Each Tuesday, I’ll be guiding you through all the essential tricks required to draw weird and wonderful creatures from myth and folklore around the world! Each week we’ll be exploring ancient legends from different cultures and countries (as chosen by the young artists), hearing their stories, and illustrating them in all their epic cuteness / spookiness / monstrousness / magicalness!!!

Along the way we’ll be illustrating more familiar creatures like dragons and elves, as well as learning about strange and wonderful new beings from the collective mythical imagination! Wowsers! We’ll be exploring some landscape and nature art too, as we draw these spirits and sprites in their natural environment!

Perfect for 7 years to teenage – grown-ups may wish to accompany younger kids.

Printable worksheets reinforcing the topics covered and providing super-fun drawing practice will be provided with Zoom Codes for each session. All you need is a pencil, paper, optional black outliner and colours, and plenty of imagination!
